Lack of Adaptability in Shelving
Most shelving systems are either fixed in place or require tedious adjustments, limiting their ability to adapt to evolving storage needs and different spaces.

Cumbersome Reconfiguration
Traditional shelving often requires drilling, measuring, and commitment to a single layout. Adjustments mean patching walls or reinstalling hardware, making it inconvenient for renters and homeowners alike.

Aesthetic & Functional Limitations
Many adjustable shelving systems sacrifice aesthetics for function, using bulky brackets and exposed hardware that clash with modern interiors. There’s a need for a shelving solution that balances style and adaptability.

This system provides a seamless, tool-free way to customize shelf placement while maintaining a sleek and modern aesthetic.

The Stratus hardware is made using zinc high pressure die casting, which allows for precise, durable, and detailed components. This process gives the knobs their strength, premium feel, and reliable grip—making it ideal for the shelving’s adjustable function.

The shelves are suspended by strong steel cables anchored to the wall via cast aluminum brackets.

Each shelf features a dual-knob mechanism connected by a single bar at both ends. Each knob uses a friction grip mechanism to allow effortless height adjustment of each shelf.

  • Turn the knobs counterclockwise to loosen the grip on the cables.

  • Move the shelf up or down to the desired height.

  • Turn the knobs clockwise to lock the shelf securely in place using friction.

Steel cables are threaded through the bars and brackets, then tightened with an integrated set screw in each bracket. The bars are secured in place by inserting a clamp plate and tightening the knobs. Wooden planks are then screwed into the bars. The entire unit mounts to the wall using a simple cleat system.
